COSTUME READY.

Dear Devon knew his mom was going to ride in a big puffy white suit & requested that he too get costumed in his spidey suit.

  WHAT ARE YOU DOING?
The little lady in the polka dot dress wanted to know what was happening. A few guys tried to explain it to her...

EARLY?
I am notoriously late but the aeolian ride is not :) we had enough time to take a loop around Washington Square Park before the Dietch Ride. It was a good cool down lap.

PUFF PUFF RIDE
The streets were blocked off for the parade, so we didn't have to worry about traffic and i got to lead the ride with a suit on for the first time.

  ROUND & ROUND
We led the dietch parade, but as the rest of the parade was on foot we made it to the end ( 4 blocks from the start ) within 1 minute ( after having waited 1 hour to start ). So we circled back until the band behind us made it to the end and then we rode around the block to the back of the parade. That's when things got really slow.

  SPOT THE SAMMY
Sometimes the ride went quite slow. Infact we went at a crawling pace, slow enough for pedestrian Sameer Kapoor to keep up.

DIETCH ART PARADE
It was pretty fun. I personally have a soft spot for marching bands. Something about a drum team that makes the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Kind of like the ladies in the next picture.
